It is an honor and a privilege to empower patients to take control of their lives in a healthy way. I practice psychotherapy to positively impact individuals and communities and help them improve their overall quality of life. I find meaning and a sense of fulfillment in supporting patients meet their health goals. I chose the field of mental health because I can play an integral role in bridging the gap between mind and body. Daily, I get the opportunity to help others navigate and overcome their mental health challenges; thereby, improving their overall quality of life. I am sincerely driven by the goal of fostering resilience and growth in my patients. As a generalist, I am trained to provide brief episodic care by aligning with my patients on treatment goals. I am trained to evaluate and treat common mental health conditions including but not limited to depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, adjustment issues and relationship problems. I believe that safety, acceptance, and trust are the building blocks of providing excellent mental health care. Therefore, I intend to provide an inclusive and a caring environment for all my patients. I believe in understanding the needs of patients in psychotherapy and I actively collaborate with them in setting treatment goals. I value the importance of open communication and involving patients in decision making related to their care. I also try to provide additional resources based on patient needs. I am fluent in Hindi and Gujarati. Hobbies and interests I enjoy exploring new restaurants and trying food from different cultures and all things outdoor. Whenever I get a chance, I enjoy hiking with my husband and my son. I recently enjoyed visiting and experiencing the Moroccan culture.
