My name is Shameika Bostic and I am a LCMHC in North Carolina, a LPC in Virginia and South Carolina. I have over 12 years of counseling experience. I provide supportive counseling to all individuals with a wide range of concerns including: trauma, anxiety/stress, adjustment issues, communications skills, depression, relationship issues, low self-esteem, identity issues, (co)parenting problems ….. just to name a few. I will modify our dialogue and treatment planning to meet your unique and specific needs. I would describe my approach to therapy as being eclectic, pulling from a variety of modalities to best serve the needs and goals of the client. The modalities in which I use most often include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Client-Centered Therapy. Taking the first step is knowing that there are people who you can listen to and lean on, who have lived through what you’re going through. My goal is to provide to you with some tools and coping techniques that you can utilize on a daily basis. I am confident that with you and I working together you will be more equipped to maneuver through those uncomfortable moments in your life.
