About me

My name is Keith Breiman and I’ve provided individual, family, and couples counseling for over three decades in private practice and in a variety of organizational settings. My earliest training was in Gestalt Therapy which both educated and heightened my cognitive, emotional, and affective sensitivity enabling me to be in the present moment with you. Since those early days, I’ve had extensive training and experience with other orientations (psychodynamic, cognitive behavior …) and have incorporated how I practice from all of them, as well as from each client, couple, and family. I’ve learned that each therapeutic relationship brings a client(s) with a unique blend of strengths, problematic habits, blind spots, and individually-specific needs that are not being addressed successfully. My experience is that when treatment works, these areas are gradually and sensitively uncovered, and in that process, we will first work together as a team to provide you with a better understanding of your challenges and, then, collectively, create appropriate strategies to address them.
