About me

My practice is female centric and focuses on increasing self-awareness and self-understanding in order to assist women in reaching a meaningful and authentic life. I view each client as a whole person and strongly emphasize positive support and empathetic understanding within a nonjudgmental and safe environment. I believe that although our lives are influenced by past experiences, our present does not have to be defined by them. By connecting thoughts with behaviors and how they influence each other, one has the ability to transform responses and reframe the narrative of their story. By helping women recognize that they hold within them the power to discover their own solutions, the therapeutic process leads towards empowerment and self-discovery. As therapist I focus on aiding clients in healing and recovering from narcissistic abuse, domestic violence, substance abuse and trauma while providing indispensable support in unraveling the complex emotional and psychological impacts of toxic and unhealthy relationships. Establishing a safe and empathetic environment, I offer a compassionate ear, validating the client’s experiences and emotions, which may have been dismissed or invalidated by an unhealthy partner and/or family member. The therapeutic journey often involves helping women understand the manipulative tactics used in these relationships, such as gaslighting and love-bombing that are meant to dismantle a woman’s identity so they are left with feelings of confusion and self-doubt. Techniques like cognitive-behavioral therapy are employed to challenge distorted beliefs about self-worth and instill healthy, empowering perspectives. By focusing on rebuilding self-esteem and establishing clear boundaries, I guide women toward reclaiming their autonomy and recognizing their intrinsic value. Additionally, it is important as a therapist to assist with supporting the development of resilience and independence through personalized coping strategies and self-care routines. Through this process, women can begin to heal from the emotional wounds of trauma and abuse while rediscovering their identity and move forward into healthier, more balanced relationships.
