The Georgia Department of Public Health, East Central Health District and Jenkins County Health Department work together to ensure the best health outcomes for children from birth to age 5. Through Children 1st, we provide families with no-cost, in-home visits to arrange help for their needs. Our team utilizes public, private and community resources to identify children at risk and link them to appropriate health, developmental and family-support services. Furthermore, participation is always voluntary and parents can withdraw at any time. We strive to give all Georgia children the best possible health.
