About me

Hi, my name is Wes Erwin. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Minnesota. I have provided counseling and supervision and taught in the area of mental health for over twenty years. I have a Ph.D. in Counseling and Human Development from The University of Iowa. It is very important for me to listen and to understand what you want and need. Honest and genuine communication is the starting point in any healthy relationship. I believe a counselor needs to be flexible and different clients need different types of help. Trust, honesty, and hope are all important aspects in a counseling relationship. My approach to counseling may be client centered, cognitive behavioral, or solution focused. I believe that attending to one’s environment and culture is important in understanding the whole person. I look forward to working with you!
