Hello! My name is Teresa “Terri” Carter; but everyone calls me Ms. Terri. I am a counselor licensed by the state of Georgia where I work and live. I currently work with individuals that are living with mental health concerns, challenged by emotional health concerns, and/or battling substance use difficulties. While my therapeutic approach varies according to the person, presenting concern, and/or goal, it is always warm and interactive. I am committed to establishing a strong therapeutic relationship with my clients built upon trust, rapport, and mutual respect. Therapeutic approaches I rely upon the most include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Trauma Informed Care (TIC), and person-centered approaches.
