About me

Hello! I’m a licensed professional counselor with 10 years of professional work practice. Before becoming a counselor I was a high school special education teacher for 21 years. I work full time for Veteran Affairs as a couples and family counselor. I have experience helping clients with complex trauma, stress and anxiety, relationship issues, identity concerns, family conflicts, low motivation and confidence, and poor self esteem. I am trained in Emotionally Focused Family Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Integrative Behavioral Couples Therapy, and Conjoint Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for PTSD. I believe in meeting clients where they are and incorporating a flexible and collaborative approach to ensure progress and improvement.
