About me

Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here! I’m Sara, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois with over three years of experience in helping individuals discover and live a life which feels valuable to them. I have extensive experience in treating depression, dysthymia, anxiety, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, relationship distress, and traumatic histories. My counseling style is warm and collaborative. I love the process of learning my clients and their lives, to gather a whole picture and determine what interventions and techniques will be most effective. The therapeutic space I provide is non-judgemental, curious, and steady. My approach uses dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), person-centered, and psychodynamic theories. Being here is a MAJOR step. I’m already so proud, and I can’t wait to meet you!
