About me

Sara Da Silva is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist(LCAS), she provides psychotherapy services for individuals over the age of 18 and for the elderly population (geriatrics). Life can be challenging at times and these challenges may seem impossible to overcome. Building a collaborative relationship is important in the therapeutic process, and it is important for Sara to learn about her clients and listen to their stories, so her goal is to work side by side with her clients, providing them with tools and coping skills that will allow them to face life’s challenges successfully. Sara’s style of practice is warm and interactive, solution focused, strengths based/positive psychology and non-judgmental. Sara’s experience includes, but is not limited to anxiety, depression, mood disorders, addiction (alcohol and illegal drugs), autism spectrum disorder mild and emotional problems triggered by physical disability, acute and chronic medical illnesses in the geriatric population and environmental changes such as moving into assisted living or loss of a loved one.
