About me

I am a licensed clinical therapist in Maryland with over 10 years of experience in the field of mental health. My education includes a Masters of Social Work at Howard University, and Bachelor of Science in Family Sciences at the University of Maryland College Park. I enjoy working with a diverse group of individuals who have various levels of mental health challenges including depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, bipolar, anger management, self-esteem, and ADHD. I also helped many people who have experienced trauma via physical or emotional abuse. My approach to psychotherapy comes from an understanding that every individual is unique and to treat each individual with respect, sensitivity, and compassion is vital build strong therapeutic relationship. I don’t believe in stigmatizing labels. I utilize techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), brief solution focused therapy (BSFT), motivational interviewing, and psychodynamic psychotherapy. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. I’m glad you have courage to take the first step to seeking a happier and perhaps more fulfilling life.
