About me

Hi, my name is Pamela Merritt and I am a Licensed Clinical Social worker. I’ve worked in the area of counseling and therapy for over ten years with various populations ranging from children/adolescents to teens, adults, and couples. I have both my Bachelors and Masters degrees in Social Work, and have been providing therapeutic services to various populations for 10+ years. My specialty area include Religious Trauma Therapy, Gay Affirmative Therapy, and overall Emotional Harmony. This includes managing issues from anger. depression, and anxiety to interpersonal conflict and relationship issues. I strive to create an atmosphere that is safe, non-judgemental, and respectful of each person’s humanity and individuality. My therapeutic process combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with Client-Centered, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I work with each individual to customize the approach in a way that is specific to their needs. The goal is to guide you towards reaching your optimal level of mental wellness and emotional harmony. The therapeutic journey may not be an easy one, but it’s worth it. It takes a lot of courage to commit to bettering your life, but you have taken the initiative, and that is a major first step! I look forward to working with you!
