About me

Hello, My name is Michael McCrary, I am a licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I have worked in the mental health field and public school counseling for 4 years. My expertise is working with individuals that struggle with depression, trauma, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, life challenges, communication skills, etc. My therapeutic approach is Person Centered (also known as client centered). Clients are viewed as the expert in their life. The counselor’s role is to help guide the client through any confusion, or dilemmas in their story. I also utilize skills embraced by Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT). My goal is to assist people in working through past/present issues to help build a better you. The first step to making a change is to recognize the need for change. The results come from taking action. I look forward to working with you!
