Hello! My Name is Lorraine and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). I have been working in this field since 2016. I graduated with a Bachelors degree at Florida Atlantic University, with my focus on Psychology and a minor in Sociology. I then went on to obtain my Master’s degree in Counseling with a concentration in Mental Health Counseling at Nova Southeastern University. I am an optimistic, open-minded, passionate, culturally sensitive person willing to guide and collaboratively work with clients in meeting their personal goals. I have been working with a diverse population of clients through the last several years in this profession, in which I have worked with young children with Autistic needs, Adolescents,, Anxiety, Depression, Substance Abuse, Grief and Loss, and Low self-esteem. I believe in providing a collaborative setting for my clients in hopes that it will facilitate change, thus encouraging you to see your own potential and recognition of the negative perception that can be inflicted upon oneself. I take into account multicultural diversities which may affect a person’s overall mental health. In sessions, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focused Therapy to help individuals overcome their mental health conditions. I believe that if a clinician can uplift and provide a safe and friendly environment for their clients this will create a positive self-regard and be a catalyst to creating a healthy Mind, Body and Soul. Therapy is an awakening where self-love, honesty and commitment are a triangle that reaches Happiness. We all thrive to obtain our individual Nirvana or Self- Fulfillment, nonetheless we struggle with the motivation or having the lack of resources or knowledge, that’s where I fit in. I am here to guide and assist you along this journey. We know change can be challenging and sometimes scary.
