About me

Hello! My name is Lorena Mejia, I am a Licensed Mental Health Clinician in the state of Florida. I have experience in assessments, biopsychosocials, groups, and individual therapy. I have worked with a wide range of age groups (from adolescents to senior adults). I mostly use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Behavioral Therapy. I utilized motivational interviewing as a technique very often. I try to use a person-center approach with all techniques, as I love to see the progress my clients make when attending therapy. I feel just as much as my clients learn from me I learn from them as well. I work my hardest to show understanding and compassion for my clients, I want them to feel our sessions are their safe place. I also work hard on creating a nonjudgmental space for my clients. I want to work alongside my clients and help them achieve their goals. I look forward to working with you.
