About me

Hello! My name is Leah Walker. I am a therapist in Kentucky, Tennessee, Utah, and Virginia with 10 years of experience. I earned my Masters Degree from Austin Peay University in 2014. I have worked with a variety of populations, including incarcerated, inpatient, outpatient, military, families, adolescents, and children. My experience includes working with individuals with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, self-esteem, career challenges, mood disorders and military-related issues. I have also worked with clients who struggle with stress, loss, abuse/neglect, and the frustrations of life. I describe my style of counseling as empathetic, client-centered, collaborative, and goal-oriented. I have experience using Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical-Behavior Therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused counseling. However, I meet the client where they are at. I tailor my counseling style to the client’s needs. I will tailor our conversations and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. Everyone deserves to have someone to talk to who provides a warm, empathetic, non-judgmental environment. I would love to work with you to help achieve your goals.
