About me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 8 years experience working as a counselor and life coach. I have worked with clients helping them to learn how to cope with depression, anxiety, substance use, trauma, life changes, and parenting problems. In addition, I have homeschooled over 24 years and am familiar with the challenges facing homeschool families. My counseling style is relaxed and compassionate, and I believe that communication and collaboration is important in the counseling relationship. I work hard to develop rapport to create a safe place for clients to be open and honest about their thoughts and feelings. My approach is based on my understanding of cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and solution-based therapy. As your counselor, I will work with you to develop goals that will help you to learn how to work through challenges you may face to have the life you desire. By seeking counseling, I believe you have strength and courage, which are necessary to create the changes you are looking for. If you are ready to take the steps to transform your life, I am here to work with you, encourage you, and empower you. I am looking forward to working with you!
