Hello. My name is Karen McGuffey and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist(LMFT) and a Certified Domestic Abuse Counselor in the state of California. I have over 15years of experience as a therapist in Community Mental Health. It takes courage to make the first step. I create a warm, safe, and non-judgmental space where individuals are able to explore their feelings and be met with respect and empathy, allowing us to better work together and reach your goals. Often times individuals seek therapy because they feel stuck or unsatisfied with a part of their life, or want to explore negative patterns that are holding them back. I also work with individuals who are wanting to improve their feelings of overall happiness, life satisfaction and work towards self actualization. For me, this is not work: It is a passion.
