About me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have worked in community mental health and treated a wide range of mental health diagnoses and concerns including anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relational issues, and stress management. I also have specific training in treating trauma and PTSD, and am certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy. Currently. I work in crisis response which means I respond with law enforcement mental health calls and work to de-escalate the situation as well as provide resources/services/help to the client. I am a warm and engaging counselor, and particularly enjoy building rapport as one of the core elements to successful counseling is the therapeutic relationship. My approach includes utilizing family systems theory as well as Cognitive Behavioral techniques in order to identify thoughts, feelings, and patterns so that a healthier way of living and relating can be created. Pursuing counseling and facing concerns head on requires bravery! I am honored to take this journey with you and look forward to working together.
