Jan has been a Licensed Mental Health Counselor since 2006. She worked in the substance use treatment for 25 + yrs.. She is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. Jan worked with people with dual diagnosis since 2003. She has experience working with people with depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, HIV. Jan believes in helping people live their best lives, using strengths and coping skills to manage stressors and moods. She believes in treating people as humans. We all deserve compassion and second chances. Some people need many second chances to live their best lives. In life, it is important to be kind and warm. Using cognitive behavioral therapy, Jan helps people cope and thrive, in spite of life’s problems. She is not religious, but likes the philosophies from Buddhism. She welcomes everyone from all walks of life. She has worked with people with ex-offender histories, as well as people who are gender non-conforming.
