About me

Hello! My name is James McCann, and I love Recovery. I love everything about it. I’m fully prepared to go above and beyond to address your needs, and I’m committed to building a strong therapeutic relationship. I’m excited for the opportunity to be a part of your support network moving forward, and I’m confident that you will make progress as we work together in an effort for you to identify and realize your goals. As a counselor, I maintain a collaborative approach and take pride in establishing new partnerships. Without a doubt, I know that we can work together to define the appropriate goals and start down a path of healing and Recovery. I would be honored to be a part of your journey as we both grow together towards the realization of your fullest potential. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Georgia and completed my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Troy University. I’m a National Certified Counselor (NCC) through the National Board for Certified Counselors and a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) through the Alcohol & Drug Abuse Certification Board of Georgia. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with a Person-Centered approach. I explore the relationship between our thoughts, emotions and behaviors while understanding the importance of autonomy. I maintain Unconditional Positive Regard at all times and strive to motivate and inspire. I look forward to working with you and getting to know you better as we navigate through the counseling process. Sincerely, James McCann, LPC, NCC, CAADC
