About me

Welcome! My name is Ian Reed. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with over 15 years of experience serving the needs of individuals, families, and children. My experience working with others includes, but is not limited to, depression/anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder, sexual trauma, drug and alcohol addiction. As a social worker, I have worked in various professional settings including Child and Family Services, outpatient mental health, and juvenile correctional facilities. My background has served to broaden my appreciation for diversity and differences. My experience has taught me that “healing is takes place on the journey”. My therapeutic approach focuses on encouraging and assisting clients to develop perseverance, become more flexible, and increase their self-worth through evidence based social work modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I believe in “meeting you where you are” and helping you decide where you want to go. Thank you again for taking time in learning more about me and look forward to speaking with you soon.
