About me

Are you ready to see your light shine again? I know we have experienced several stressors over the past few years due in the most part to Covid-19. If the stress has become unmanageable or you just need someone to listen and validate your concerns without judgement then, I would love to work with you. Hi, my name is Heather. I have three children, a step-daughter, a grandson, and three fur babies that rule my home. I enjoy spending time with my family, learning and experiencing new things. I have a BA in psychology from UNCG , a Masters degree in clinical counseling from Liberty University, and I am licensed in the state of North Carolina as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate. My approach to therapy is eclectic as I like to take from theologies. I am proficient in motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical-behavioral therapy and various others so that I can develop a strategy that will work to help individualize each clients experience. I have worked with clients in various settings from hospitals, telephone, outpatient clinics, and virtual. I would love to work with clients that are ready make a change in their life so they can see the light in your life again.
