About me

I am a licensed professional counselor with over 25 years of experience counseling at-risk children, youth, adults, and families. My areas of special interest are attachment disorder, trauma, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, parenting, and severe mental illness. I have worked with clients of all ages with issues along the spectrum of mental illness from mild depression to schizophrenia. I am direct and empathic with people. My approach to counseling is person-centered and eclectic, combining attachment-focused therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, trauma-focused therapy, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness to meet the needs of the individual/family. I believe in a collaborative approach to treatment and will work with you to develop a plan that meets your unique need(s). Change is hard and I will be there with you every step of your journey, cheering you on and guiding you to reach your goals and achieve mental wellness. I look forward to working with you.
