About me

ABOUT ME If you are exploring Betterhelp, it is likely that you are wanting to make some changes in your life. Finding the right therapist to help you achieve your goals is important. I want to provide you with information about me that will help you decide if my experience and style is right for you. I hold a Ph.D., in clinical social work and am dually licensed as both a clinical and macro social worker. I utilize a Strength Perspective (the things you are already good at) and multiple other theoretical perspectives to assist you in achieving your goals. Healing is a process and requires commitment, compassion, and non-judgment. I am passionate about meeting individuals and couples where they are (which means simply working on the goals you choose) and advocating for my clients. My specialty is working with people experiencing depression, anxiety, stress and trauma (physical, sexual, emotional and medical). Someone once asked me “How can you work with people in such pain and listen to all the horrible things people have endured”. I responded by saying, “Oh, it’s not like that! When I meet someone who is seeking counseling, I am meeting someone who has already decided they want a change in their life. I am meeting someone who is stronger than they realize and someone who is willing to share with me their journey of healing and growing. I love watching someone learn about their strengths and seeing them create a life they love and deserve”. It’s an honor.
