About me

Hi there :) Welcome to my page. I’m glad you’re here and considering taking steps to heal through partnering with a counselor. Check out this blurb about me, and if something clicks, let’s chat more and see if we can work together! I’m South Carolina born and raised, and I studied at Columbia International University for undergrad with a focus in Bible Teaching, Theology, and Intercultural Studies. Post-grad, I landed in Virginia and after serious soul searching, I began my Master’s of Social Work at Virginia Commonwealth University. I’ve worked in a variety of settings, including with populations in the late stage of life in poverty and a diverse range of individuals coping with severe mental illness in a state hospital. I’m passionate about helping people navigate the muck of life; including anxiety/depression, traumatic experiences, grief, end-of-life transitions for individuals and families, and those who’ve experienced spiritual abuse. I focus on the whole-person (physical, emotional, social, spiritual), meeting you where you are. We were made to live with joy, and if you’re in a place that you are finding hard to get through–know it is possible to come out of the other side. If you want to learn more about my approach, and if our partnership in counseling is a good fit, please don’t hesitate to message me. If you’d like to book an appointment, click on the “Schedule” button on the left side of this page and select an available time slot that works for you.
