About me

Are you feeling anxious, depressed, fatigued? Maybe feeling stuck? Perhaps you are experiencing problems in relationships or with family or problems at work. Perhaps it’s life in general. You might be thinking of getting help but experiencing problems in asking for or reaching out for help. Well, you are not alone as many, many people find it hard to reach out for help. My name is Al Mayer. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Connecticut. I have over 30 years experience in helping clients to make choices to empower them to move forward and reach whatever their true goal is. To feel better about themselves and their circumstances after resolving issues. To feel content, at ease and happier. My experience includes providing individual psychotherapy and counseling; couples counseling; marriage and family therapy; group therapy and drug and alcohol counseling. I am an attentive listener as well as being interactive with you. I believe in treating everyone with sensitivity, compassion, empathy and respect. YOU ARE IMPORTANT TO ME !
