About Adalheidur

Welcome! My name is Ally Dagbjartsdottir and I'm so excited for the opportunity to work with you. Therapy is a collaboration, one in which we partner to find ways to help you cope with life's challenges, setbacks, questions, etc. I would love to be the person to help you be the best version of yourself. Therapy is for everyone and anyone and as a social worker, my background enables me to look at things from multiple perspectives. I have worked with children and families for 15 years, 10 of which I have been a therapist. My specialty is working with children, adolescents, and families with trauma backgrounds. I love working with teenagers and young adults as well as parents, but really I just love that one on one partnership that takes place in the therapeutic relationship. I am a firm believer in the strengths perspective. You have what it takes within you; let me help you find your inner voice and together we can find creative solutions to any multitude of issues. You have taken the first step and that is brave. I look forward to hearing from you! Read more Show less
