At South Georgia Autism Center, our highly trained speech therapists are dedicated to helping children with autism learn to communicate effectively. Our therapists specialize in using a variety of methods to help your child, including gestures, signs, verbal speech, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). We also focus on helping children develop nonverbal skills, form speech in a clearer way, communicate thoughts and feelings, understand and respond to questions, discern facial expressions and corresponding emotions, notice and understand body language, and improve feeding and swallowing. Our speech therapy programs are tailored to meet the individual needs of your child, and our staff is committed to helping them succeed.
