Established in 2004 as an agency separate from the Department of Children and Families, APD is guided by Chapter 20, Chapter 393, and Chapter 916 of the Florida Statutes. Our goal is to identify the service needs of people with developmental disabilities and provide them with the necessary resources to thrive.
