About me

Hello, my name is Virginia June and I am a licensed, clinical social worker in Michigan. My specialty is addiction and behavioral health and have worked at world class addiction treatment facilities for over 28 years. I have a private practice in Ann Arbor, Michigan. My clinical theoretical model is psycho-dynamic theory but I find most individuals prefer Cognitive Behavioral and Solution Focused Brief therapy. I work with the LGBTQ community and have been trained in EMDR therapy. Grief and Loss is also my specialty as I was trained under Elizabeth Kubler-Ross MD. (She developed the five stages of grief and loss and brought the hospice movement to the US). If you find yourself “stuck” and in need of someone to talk to, I would love to meet you! Sometimes life can throw us curve balls, and then it is up to us to learn how to hit them out of the ballpark! I look forward to speaking with you and working as a team!
