About me

I’m Tara, a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of South Carolina. I’m also the owner of A Peaceful Mind Counseling Service, LLC. I have worked in the field of mental health for almost 20 years and have been providing therapy 16 years. I started my career working with children. Over the years I have developed skills to support individuals with behavioral issues, anxiety, depression, anger, family/parenting conflict and trauma. I have a history of working with children who have autism and and has a certificate in ABA. I believe that the focus should start with the individual and provide coping skills to address current issues while taking the necessary steps to resolve those issues and reach your goal. It is my goal to assist/guide individuals in being able to share in a safe place. I have experience in Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness and Motivational Interviewing . When you are ready to take the next step, I’m here to support and guide you. My calendar has limited availability.
