About me

My name is Tanya McClung and I am a licensed professional counselor in West Virginia with over 12 years of experience in the therapeutic world. I have been practicing as a license professional counselor for 10 years. I graduated with a Bachelors in Social Work from Concord University and a Masters in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. I use cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, client-centered, neuro linguistic programming, brainspotting, expressive arts, somatic processing, psychodrama, and meta-modeling. I have experience working with individuals struggling with negative self-talk, low self-esteem, mood instability, stress and anxiety, depression, challenging irrational beliefs, trauma and abuse, parenting issues, problematic relationships, and identity development. I also have experience facilitating groups and family therapy. It is my goal to work with my clients to not only focus on the symptoms, but to find the cause of their suffering and struggles.
