My name is Tammy Weinke, and I am licensed as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Wisconsin. I have over 7 years of experience in counseling, and over 10 working in the mental health field. I have experience and training in many areas of mental health, including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, parenting issues, life transitions, relationship issues, women’s issues, and Christian counseling. I have my Master of Arts degree in Counseling/ Psychology from Bethel University in St. Paul, MN. I believe that we are each gifted, and each wounded. Sadness, life meaning, stress, anxiety, conflicts, grief, health issues, emptiness- no one escapes the extraordinary challenges of being human. As a counselor, I strive to provide a safe, nurturing, nonjudgmental relationship in which people feel validated and empowered to heal, to set goals, make changes, overcome difficulties, embrace their true selves, and cope with life’s many challenges. I use an eclectic blend of techniques to provide caring and evidence-based therapy. In addition to traditional Talk Therapy and Motivational Interviewing, I use other techniques that work on a deeper level; some of these techniques are drawn from Cognitive Behavioral, Person-centered, and Strength-based therapies.
