About Tammie
Hi, I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in both Kentucky and Tennessee. I work with adults who may be dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, relationship concerns, major life changes, or simply feeling overwhelmed and unsure of what to do next. I believe therapy should feel like a conversation, not an interrogation. My goal is to create a space where you can be honest, feel heard, and talk openly without worrying about being judged. You do not have to have the right words, a perfect plan, or even know exactly what you want to work on before starting. My style is supportive, down-to-earth, and direct when needed. I am not here to tell you how to live your life or to change who you are. I see my role as helping you better understand yourself, recognize patterns that may no longer be working for you, and build practical tools that can help you move forward. I use approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care, but I do not believe therapy should feel one-size-fits-all. We will work together to find what fits you, your experiences, and your goals. Sometimes therapy is about learning new coping skills or setting healthier boundaries. Other times, it is about slowing down long enough to understand why you react the way you do, rebuilding confidence, working through difficult experiences, or figuring out what you actually want your life to look like. If you are used to being the person who handles everything on your own, asking for support may feel uncomfortable. That is okay. We can start exactly where you are and take things one step at a time.
