About me

Tamika Stewart, MA, LPC I am licensed as a professional counselor in the metro Atlanta area but originally, from Indiana where I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Health Education (Indiana University, Bloomington). While in Indiana I worked on a weed and seed program for at-risk youth providing prevention and intervention activities and resources. In 2000 I relocated to Georgia and in 2002 began the master’s program at Argosy University (Atlanta). I received my Master of Arts Degree in Professional Counseling in 2004. I have approximately 21 years of experience in human services with 20 years in the mental health arena. I have implemented community-based programs that provide individuals (adolescents and adults) with substance abuse, mental health diagnosis, and developmental disabilities services in their homes and community. I am a mental health advocate and supporter of suicide prevention, intervention, and education. My passion is to provide families with services within their own community to help stabilize and create sustainable change. My counseling style is creating a safe space that allows for growth and change. It takes courage to seek assistance and disclose uncomfortable feelings and create a happier life. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you. I look forward to working with you!
