About me

Warm Greeetings! I’m Shola and I’m a licensed therapist in the District of Columbia with 10 years of professional work experience in a variety of settings, primarily with adults, including, inpatient substance treatment programs, emergency room crisis counseling, social work/case management in acute care hospitals, and inpatient behavioral health units in acute care hospitals. I implement a strengths-based approach, incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Techniques and breathing/visual exercises. I am also trained in Crisis Intervention and Solution Focused Therapy. I believe in working in partnership with my clients, utilizing their strengths, to help them sort out their challenges while developing coping techniques to strengthen and heal self and with an ultimate purpose- to uplift and heal the coming generations of groups, communities and families for success and esteem. It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and healthier life and to take the first steps towards that change. If you are ready to make that change, I am here to support, encourage, and empower you. Happy Healing!
