About Shira

I’m a therapist, forensic investigator, and writer, and I bring all of those parts of me into the way I work. My background is in trauma, anxiety, life transitions, identity, and the complicated stories we carry about ourselves and our relationships. I often work with people who are high-functioning on the outside but feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected on the inside. I’m trauma-informed, strength-based, and deeply respectful of how much you’ve already survived and adapted. My work is shaped by an understanding of the nervous system, attachment, and how past experiences quietly influence the present. Therapy is about helping you come back into a more honest, steady, authentic, and compassionate relationship with yourself. My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to you. I integrate insight-oriented work with practical tools, which may include mindfulness, parts work, gentle somatic awareness, and creative or reflective exercises. I truly believe therapy can be both deep and human, and sometimes even funny. At its core, my work is about helping you feel safer in your body, clearer in your mind, and more connected to your inner compass. Read more Show less
