Sheri Fayton

Hey there! My name is Sheri A. Fayton. As a licensed professional counselor and a national certified counselor, I am here to journey with you toward healing and necessary changes in your life so you can start living the best version of yourself. Life is filled with adventure, love, joy, happiness, dreams and the list can go on and on… right? Well I know that certain experiences such as traumatic events, loss, and other situations transpire that directly impact our ability to remain hopeful about our future/purpose. When we look in the mirror, we no longer see the beauty, strength, boldness, creativity, intellect that we once saw. Instead, the “fog/steam” of life obstructs and distorts our view. Well, I would argue that the image/reflection has never changed…just your ability to see it. My role is to be a “defroster.” My specialty is addressing the needs of individuals that have been broken by life’s traumatic events to include, sexual trauma, domestic violence, and physical abuse. In addition, working with individuals that have impaired self-image/esteem issues and may be experiencing a self-identity crisis. I believe you must address the “whole person” in order to initiate the healing process to include the mind, body, and spirit. In my practice, interventions/activities are implemented to focus on these three vital components that affect our ability to function on a daily basis.
