About me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 20 over years experience. I have a Bachelor’s degree is psychology and a Master’s of Education in Counseling and Guidance from the The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. I am also a Counselor supervisor and help develop other professionals within the counseling field. I have worked with individuals and families with numerous backgrounds from stress and anxiety to relational issues. I have had specialized training in parenting and the effects of trauma on the body and the mind. I have been fortunate to learn from some the best professionals in the field and utilize this experience to help my clients cope with their struggles. My approach is to meet you where you at as an individual and then look at patterns in your life that may have caused you some difficulties. We will explore your thoughts, feelings, and actions as they relate to your past and present circumstances. I will help guide you in setting goals, develop coping strategies and the steps to reach them. I will have you look into your self-talk and how this plays a part in your life. This is a big step in your life and I thank you for allowing me to help guide you.
