About Shannon

Shannon Seminario, MSW, LCSW About Me Life can be overwhelming, especially when you're carrying the weight of trauma, anxiety, relationship challenges, grief, parenting stress, or major life transitions. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to move toward healing and growth. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience working with adolescents, adults, and families in both mental health and substance use treatment settings. Throughout my career, I have supported individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, emotional dysregulation, relationship difficulties, grief and loss, low self-esteem, and life transitions. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and strengths-based. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), trauma-informed care, mindfulness practices, and person-centered interventions. I believe that every person possesses unique strengths and resilience, even during life's most difficult seasons. As a clinician, I strive to create an environment where clients feel genuinely accepted and understood. Together, we will identify obstacles, develop practical coping strategies, build emotional awareness, and work toward meaningful goals that align with your values and vision for your life. For clients who desire it, I am comfortable integrating Christian faith and spirituality into the therapeutic process. I believe emotional, relational, and spiritual wellness can work together to support lasting healing and transformation. Areas of Focus Anxiety and stress management Depression and mood concerns Trauma and PTSD Addiction and recovery Women's issues Pregnancy and postpartum adjustment Parenting support Relationship challenges Grief and loss Life transitions Emotional regulation Self-esteem and identity development Faith-based counseling What You Can Expect My therapeutic style is warm, authentic, and encouraging. I believe therapy should be a partnership where you feel empowered to explore your experiences, gain insight, and develop practical tools for everyday life. Whether you are facing a specific challenge or simply feeling stuck, I am honored to walk alongside you in your journey toward healing, hope, and wholeness. Seeking support is a courageous step, and I look forward to helping you create meaningful change in your life. Read more Show less
