About me

Welcome! I am Shaketha Blankenship, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia and National Certified Counselor (NCC) with advanced training in mental health and Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision. I have worked with early childhood, adolescents, teens, and adults for over 25 years. My goal is to provide an environment of trust, empathy, non-judgment, and encouragement in assisting clients in meeting their goals. I utilize an integrative theoretical approach that includes but not limited to Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Client Centered Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness Therapy. I believe clients have the strength, abilities, and skills within themselves to achieve growth and personal goals when provided the support, tools, and resources needed. I have worked with clients that present with a range of concerns that includes depression, anxiety, ADHD, grief and loss, parenting concerns, relationship challenges, trauma, abuse, and LGBTQ+ concerns. It is important for me to empower my clients, assist them in navigating life challenges, and assist them in being the best version of themselves. I am here to support you and look forward to working with you!
