About me

I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Binghamton University (NY) in 2010. Since that time, I have primarily worked in a small outpatient setting run by a large Federal organization, providing behavioral health services for Veterans. My primary therapeutic approach is cognitive-behavioral, our ‘fancy’ way of looking at our pattern of thoughts/ behaviors and how they interact with our mood. I have an eclectic approach that is largely guided by collaboration and patient preference. I am well versed in traditional behavioral/cognitive-behavioral approaches, along with more modern interpretations of these principles including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches. I have also learned that many people don’t need, want, or like a very “formal” approach… and that’s fine. The important piece is that we put our heads together and find something that works for you. Areas of expertise include PTSD/Trauma, Depression, Anxiety Addictions, and military transition issues. I look forward to meeting!
