About me

My name is Sandi Hines, LCSW, CCTP. I am a licensed therapist in the State of Tennessee. My focus is working with clients who are experiencing depression, anxiety, panic attacks, anger, self-esteem issues, communication difficulties in relationships, as well as young adulthood issues. In addition, I have extensive experience working with collective and complicated grief, family, marriage and relationship trauma and stress. My approach is an easy going, eclectic one that is adapted for each client. I utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities combining Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Family Systems Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy to help you manage anxiety, panic attacks, depression and anger issues. I also utilize Solution Focused Therapy coupled with Problem Solving strategies that enable you to focus on ways to improve your life while discovering new things about yourself. We will focus on learning skills and coping techniques that will lead you to feel more confident, relaxed and more in control of your thoughts, feelings and emotions. One of my goals is for you to have happier, heathier relationships and be at peace with self. At times we may incorporate mindfulness and relaxation techniques that you can use to find ways to successfully cope with your stressors, manage your depression and anxiety, reduce frustration and anger, and reconcile losses so you can move forward in life. My style is friendly and person centered. I approach every client as a unique, individual person and provide an environment where you can trust me to be genuine, open-minded and non-judgmental. As your therapist I will actively listen to your life story, your thoughts and your feelings. Together we will explore and identify your strengths while increasing your resiliency as we learn to use coping strategies that enhance your ability to handle life’s ups and downs. In our sessions, we will talk about your truths and what is important to you as we discover the person you want to be! These sessions will enable you to become more self aware, strengthen your self-worth and increase your self-esteem! My goal is to provide you with a safe and caring atmosphere that is centered on helping you make the positive changes in your life that are important to you, so you can live the life that you have always wanted to live! I look forward to meeting you and walking this journey beside you.
