About me

I am licensed in California and New Mexico with 20 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, coping with addictions, relationship issues, & trauma and abuse. I have recently left my position as a contract worker with the Defense Department counseling active military members and their families. I am deeply honored to have served those who have served our country for the last 11 years. I have worked in prisons, mental health facilities, schools, substance abuse programs, military installations overseas, and with the dependent drug court system. My approach is solution-focused, humanistic, cognitive-behavioral, and mindful in nature. I do not pathologize or assume I know more about you then you do. With many years of dealing with addictions, trauma related disorders, and anxiety it has been my experience that some insight, education, mindfulness, and basic relaxation training can overcome what has seemed an unsolvable challenge.
