About me

My name is Rhonda Gail, I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Georgia. I have over 20 years of experience working in the mental health field. I have served in a variety of disciplines such as: partial hospitalization care, outpatient, home visits, and the school setting. I have served a diverse population with a broad range and severity of clinical issues. I have the most experience working with anxiety, depression, family relationship conflicts, life transitions, complex trauma with associated abuse, attachment disorders, self-determination and self-harm. The ability to determine a suitable therapist is the first step to overcoming the challenges that are causing distress. While society has formerly stigmatized having mental health and social emotional issues, today there is more accepting of the fact we all need personal support at some point in our life. I am dedicated to the care and support of my clients. I support with empathy, compassion and respect with the clinical knowledge afforded to me. It is important to develop a trusting healthy relationship between client and counselor, I am committed to the positive regard of all human life. It is my belief all persons can thrive with the proper support and necessary care aimed at their specific need. While serving I utilize evidenced-based approaches such as: strength-based, person-centered, holistic, multicultural sensitivity, and mindfulness. Our work begins where you are, we will create the treatment approach according to the needs identified while being aware of how your individual cultural identities and lifestyle choices impact your experience. In my work, I have utilized evidence-based techniques including cognitive-behavioral therapy, and solution-focused counseling. I am warm, accepting, nonjudgmental, supportive and filled with compassion for humanity. I am equipped with clinical knowledge with a sincere dedication to assist you with overcoming your life obstacles. Together we can establish defined goals that will ultimately lead to having a happy and productive life experience. I promote the need for time to ensure wellness completely, holistically, and continually. Wellness is a process. I look forward to serving you with complete commitment to your personal success.
