About Rachel

I am licensed in Texas with over 10 years of professional work experience. I have helped clients with stress and anxiety, coping with addictions, trauma and abuse, motivation, self esteem, and confidence. I am especially passionate about treating people who have experienced trauma (however large or small), and I use a combination of somatic healing and cognitive-based healing to address both our thoughts and our nervous system's response to trauma. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. I have experience working in private practice, virtual intensive outpatient therapy, prison and jail settings, and with sex offender treatment. I enjoy getting creative with clients to help them identify coping strategies, calming methods, and problem solving solutions that work for them as individuals. I approach each new client with a non-judgmental mindset and focus on creating a trusting relationship where growth can occur organically. It is important to me that clients feel engaged in and a vital part of their treatment, after all, you are the expert in your own life! It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey. Read more Show less
