Rachel Grigoryan

I am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Michigan with 8 years of experience providing therapy. I have experience ranging from child welfare cases to severe and persistent mental illness (and everything in between.) My main areas of focus are in helping people who are experiencing women’s issues such as motherhood issues, postpartum mood disorders, relationship issues, domestic violence, and sexual assault, and other life transitions and challenges. I also have significacnt experience working with members of the LGBT*Q+ community to resolve issues of trauma, internalized homophobia, familial abandonment, and the complexities of being queer in a heteronormative culture. I take a trauma focused approach and utilize narrative, emotionally focused, feminist therapy to help you feel in control of your own life again. I believe that everyone is an expert in their own experience, and my role as a therapist is simply to help you interpret the map to your destination. I will tailor our communication and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs, whether they be big or small.
