About me

Hi, I’m Rachel Chernow and I’m a licensed clinical counselor in Maryland since 2007. In my 10+ years as a clinical therapist, I’ve worked with various populations struggling with a wide variety of diagnoses, including Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar disorder, adjustment Disorder, schizophrenia, and others. I have a Master’s degree in clinical counseling from Johns Hopkins University and have worked in private practice settings as well as community based settings. I believe in order to have success in therapy, the initial focus must be on the relationship. I strive to develop a strong rapport with my clients based on a warm and caring presence. My therapeutic approach combines person-centered, cognitive behavioral, and psycho-dynamic. I will work collaboratively with you, the client, to develop and tailor a treatment approach that works best for you. I recognize that asking for help can be a difficult step but I am here to support you as soon as you are ready!
