About me

Thank you for taking the moment to get to know me as a therapist. I have been working in mental health for the past 15 years serving men and women of our military for the past 15 years. I joined the Army in 1999 as a mental health tech. I completed my undergraduate while in the Army and continued my education during my enlistment. Since my enlistment I have completed my MSW and licensing requirements for Colorado and North Carolina. I have completed an additional tour of duty as an Army Officer and active duty Social Worker. I have completed specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy, and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction. I have provided trauma based therapies and substance abuse treatment to our Veterans. I have provided specialized treatment for victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse. I believe in honoring were my clients are at this point and time in their life and support them in the process of healing and moving beyond their past.
